Shipmanagement

The majority of our vessels are managed by AET shipmanagement centres in Singapore and Houston and we also operate a smaller centre in Gurgaon (India) for our Indian flagged ship. The remainder are managed by third-parties, which enables constant benchmarking against industry best practice.

AET Shipmanagement holds the ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates, demonstrating continued commitment to quality management and environmental awareness. All our vessels operate to the highest standards of compliance and, wherever possible, we go beyond statutory regulation. For example we subscribe to the voluntary Tanker Management Safety Assessment (TMSA) programme which challenges operators to further improve safety and environmental processes.

Internal inspection teams monitor the condition and operation of all our vessels to reinforce the statutory inspections required by class. Those vessels that operate in the Green Award jurisdiction have been awarded that coveted certificate. AET is 100% compliant with the Long Beach Green Flag programme and many of our vessels have achieved the John F Devlin award for zero significant crew injuries sustained during the past two years.

Importantly, endorsement of the commitment to quality also comes from our customers and we are delighted to enjoy approvals from the world’s oil-majors.

We are the only foreign shipowner to operate an Indian flagged tanker. We have established a dedicated shipmanagement centre in Gurgaon to support this innovative activity.
